The majority of people you know has, will or currently is experiencing back pain. You may be experiencing back pain as you read this, because the malady is so prevalent in our society. Remember these 5 quick ways to stop back pain so when the pain strikes, strike back and get back to enjoying your life pain-free.
Lighten Your Load

Toting a heavy purse or backpack around each day? The weight and/or the way you carry the bagged weight may be the underlying cause of your back pain. Lighten your load by removing unnecessary items and invest in a purse or carry-all that has a long strap and is worn across your chest like a messenger bag. If you must carry a short-strapped bag, switch shoulders every 20 minutes to prevent muscle strain.
Dark Green, Leafy Vegetables
That's right - broccoli can help stop back pain. So can spinach, collard greens, kale and all other dark green, leafy vegetables. Dark leafy greens are rich in vitamin K, an essential nutrient for getting calcium deposited into bones. The stronger your bones, the stronger your whole body is and the less likely you'll experience back pain. Add some dark green leaves to your daily diet to help build a strong, pain-free back.

Your pillow(s) may be the cause of your back pain. Your pillow(s) should not be so high as to raise your head out of alignment with the rest of your body. If you're aback sleeper, your chin should not touch your chest and if you're a slide sleeper, your head should not be curved upwards towards your shoulder. Keep your body and head in alignment during sleep to prevent back pain.
Your mattress may also be causing your back to ache. A hard mattress is not the best option for all people. A softer mattress may reduce or eliminate lower back pain and stiffness.

Sitting at a desk for 8 or so hours a day absolutely causes back pain, but if it's your job, aim for good posture to stop back pain. Sit up straight with your back pressed into the back of the chair and feet flat on the floor in front of you. Use a lumbar pillow or stability ball to help you sit with good posture and stop back pain.
